Zoltán Nagy obtained an MSc degree from Information Technology at University of Veszprém in 1999. He obtained his PhD in 2008 for the implementation of Cellular Neural Networks on reconfigurable devices. Between 2003 and 2007 he worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Image Processing and Neurocomputing at University of Pannonia. Since 2007 he is a senior research fellow at the Institute for Computer Science and Control, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Since 2010 he is a part time associate professor at the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. His main research area is kiloprocessor architectures and their applications to solve computationally intensive tasks which can be divided into two parts. On the one hand he designs low power high performance computing architectures for the acceleration of image processing algorithms using reconfigurable devices. On the other hand he uses reconfigurable devices for the the modeling of complex physical phenomena such as computational fluid dynamics problems.
